This policy explains what Aevu collects, why we use it, and the choices you have. Aevu is an interest-first photo and video service designed without public comments or public dislike counts.

Information we collect

Account and profile

When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an account identifier and, when you choose to share them, your name and email address. We also store profile details you provide, such as your username, biography, interests, and profile photo.

Content and location

We process the photos, videos, captions, edits, audio choices, and other content you upload. Location is optional. If you enable it for a post, you choose whether to share an approximate or exact place.

Activity and technical data

We collect interactions needed to operate and personalize the service, including watch progress, likes, saves, private “Not for me” signals, reports, upload status, device and app information, approximate network location, and diagnostics.

How we use information

• Provide, secure, maintain, and improve Aevu.
• Personalize your feed around your interests and activity.
• Process uploads, edits, notifications, and creator analytics.
• Detect spam, nudity, exploitation, toxicity, fraud, and other policy violations.
• Respond to reports, support requests, legal obligations, and safety risks.

Your private “Not for me” action is not displayed publicly. It is designed to adjust your recommendations for that post and related signals; it does not automatically block the creator or remove a category for other people.

How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with infrastructure and service providers only as needed to operate Aevu, such as cloud hosting, media delivery, authentication, security, analytics, and support providers. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, or as part of a business reorganization subject to appropriate safeguards.

Storage and international processing

Aevu is built for a global audience. Information may be processed in countries other than where you live. We use Google Cloud infrastructure and apply appropriate technical and organizational protections for transfers and storage.

Retention and account deletion

We retain information while your account is active and as needed for the purposes described here. When you request deletion, your account enters a 30-day recovery period. You can cancel during that period. Afterward, we delete or de-identify account information unless limited retention is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or backups.

Your choices and rights

You can edit profile information, remove content, control optional location sharing, change notification permissions, sign out, report content, and request account deletion in the app. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your information.

Children

Aevu is not intended for children under 13, or under the higher minimum age required in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age.

Security

We use safeguards including provider-verified authentication, encrypted transport, short-lived upload authorization, access controls, and private storage. No service can guarantee absolute security.

Changes and contact
